Lead Pastors
Jeff and Felicia Scurlock
Jeff and Felicia met and married in 1979 at the ripe old ages of 19 and 17. They have spent their entire adult lives in ministry as pastors and itinerant speakers. Both are ordained ministers with the Assemblies of God.
In April of 2005 they became the pastors of First Assembly of God, the church where they met years earlier.
Jeff is a third generation Pentecostal preacher/pastor with a rich heritage.
In addition to her role as Co-lead pastor, Felicia serves on the praise and worship team, life training teacher and other areas of ministry and leadership. She periodically preaches in Sunday services and serves as an itinerant speaker, ministering primarily to women.
Jeff and Felicia have three children; Adam, Kara (husband is Andrew) and Lauren (husband is Trevor); and five grandchildren: Jackson, Lucas, Charlie, Auna and Rosemary.
Youth Pastors
Andrew and Kara Sawyer
Andrew and Kara have been married since 2011 and have three beautiful children; Jackson, Charlie, and Auna. God called Andrew to Youth Ministry as a teenager and confirmed the calling as an adult.
They have served as Youth Pastors in youth ministry since 2013 and have been at First Assembly since 2014.
Kids Pastors
Jeff and Andrea Jackson
Jeff and Andrea have been married since July of 2010 and recently have became the Kids Pastors of First Assembly since 2017.
Their family includes them and their 5 children.
Jeff is a certified Assembly of God Pastor and is working on getting his license and Andrea helps lead and pastor in Kids Ministry. She is also involve in the Women's Ministry.
They both have a passion for being servants of God and being obedient to the Holy Spirit.
Worship Pastor
Kara Sawyer
As a young child, God gave Kara a passion for worship and that merged into a calling to lead worship.
Kara has been leading or on a worship team since she was 14 years of age and has been serving as Worship Pastor at First Assembly since 2016.
Sound and Media Pastor
Taylor Ragan
Most of his life, Taylor has been in church. Starting around his youth group years, he showed interest in running and learning about sound for Sunday and any other events the church would have.
At the age of 16 he was called into youth ministry and became a youth leader at the age of 18 here for United Youth.
Taylor also had many other passions. He eventually became passionate about videography, photography and graphic design. With being the Sound Pastor he then quickly became the Media Pastor.
He uses his talents for the church and for the kingdom of God! He makes announcement videos, graphics and takes photos for the church as he believes these things will prepare him to do many great things in his own youth ministry one day.
